David Melzer, President and CEO of Property Claims Consultant, worked in the insurance industry for over 10 years. Through his tenure, he witnessed the mishandling of claims, the attention to the bottom line, and most importantly, the lack of clarity and accessibility of information for property owners. This is when he recognized the value he could provide to the insured. The concept of PCC came to him by asking the simple question, “Why can’t the everyday homeowner get access to my knowledge?” Well, now it can! PCC is on a mission to not only help but also educate property owners on the best ways to tackle the bureaucracy of the insurance world.

David Melzer
David Melzer
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in business management, David set out on his first role in the insurance world. He started working for a large insurance carrier in 2011. He has since worked for multiple insurance carriers and held multiple positions for large insurance companies. He set out on his own, starting Property Claims Consultant in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. His goal has always been to help any and all policyholders with their insurance claims. There will never be a claim too big or too small for David and his team to help with. With his vast experience working for insurance companies, he can always provide a benefit to policyholders on their claims.
Beau Ecksten
Beau Ecksten
Beau was first introduced to the insurance industry in college at the University of Colorado Denver, where he majored in risk management and insurance. Upon graduation, Beau worked as a staff adjuster for a major insurance carrier before becoming a public adjuster. As a public adjuster, Beau is driven by his passion for helping others. His strong work ethic and effective communication skills allow him to convey clients’ needs and make the claim process easy for everyone.
In addition to earning his BSBA in Risk Management and Insurance, Beau has earned his Associate in Claims (AIC). An AIC designation signifies specialized education and training in the handling of various types of insurance claims. He has experience adjusting losses including water, fire, smoke, mold, wind/hail, and more.

Brittany Apana
Brittany Apana
Brittany has been working in project management and administration in the construction industry for over 15 years. After receiving a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University, she spent her career collaborating with executives, architects, homeowners, and subcontractors on a variety of projects ranging from large-scale commercial landscape installations to custom-built luxury homes. She is thrilled to bring her experience in diverse project administration to the PCC team!

Micaela moved from Sweden to study hospitality management at Santa Barbara City College. She graduated in 2015 with an AA in hospitality and worked in various customer service jobs before she decided to join the PCC family. Micaela is thrilled to be a part of the PCC team and work with our clients. She is committed to taking extra steps and providing the best possible support for the team and our clients. Outside of work, Micaela likes to spend time on the beach, travel, and try new restaurants, all in the company of her husband and their dog.
Loren Pearlman
Loren pearlman
Loren is a US Coast Guard military veteran and SDSU graduate with a B.S. in psychology. In 2019, Loren discovered public adjustment after he had a terrible experience with an insurance claim of his own. Loren is now a licensed public adjuster and has successfully represented over 80 homeowner and commercial property claims. He is a North County resident, where he lives with his wife and two sons. Loren spends his free time spearfishing and coaching little league baseball. Loren’s military work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in writing government policy uniquely position him as an ideal candidate to represent your claim.
KC Cullum

KC Cullum joins PCC with nearly two decades of public adjustment experience, overseeing major residential and commercial claims across the west coast. He is passionate about helping families and businesses get back on their feet after a catastrophic loss. Often times, KC serves as the first point of contact with clients, acting as an intermediary with the insurance company and their contractors.
KC genuinely cares about people. He enjoys taking the burden off his clients and, in the process, connecting on a personal level. KC’s experience allows him to analyze the policy provisions and property damages to quickly provide insight on what’s ahead and how to assemble the best team and strategy appropriate for each claim. KC resides in North County, SD, with his wife and three children, who all love and enjoy the outdoors and the many activities sunny SoCal has to offer!

Victoria holds a B.S. in dental hygiene from Loyola University and is an expert in dental sleep medicine. She has spent her career collaborating with interprofessional health experts to provide holistic, patient-focused care. She brings this same level of client-focused energy and communication skills to the PCC team to make sure we meet clients’ needs during times of great stress.

Jim Melzer
Jim has an S.M. in Physical Chemistry from MIT and has held research director positions for major aerospace corporations, managing small and large projects that focused on developing human-centric technologies for people in high-stress occupations. He brings this same client focus and attention to detail to the PCC team to ensure we always get the best outcome for our clients.
Ken Ezra
ken ezra
Ken has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the Aetna Institute in Hartford, Connecticut, and studied insurance contracts and retail agency management. He worked on thousands of claims, including settlements, loss mitigation, and in the subrogation department. Negotiated settlements between attorneys on both sides for bodily injury claims. Former field investigation in the personal injury fraud department. The former owner of Frontline Insurance Company and Frontline Premium Finance Company in retail insurance sales earned direct agency contracts with Aetna, SafeCo, and Progressive. I am happy to work with a great, experienced team at Property Claims Consultant, Inc.
