My entrepreneurial inception germinated from my professional background within the insurance industry. I recognized a distinct opportunity to offer specialized services aimed at advocating for and representing homeowners grappling with the aftermath of flood and fire damage to their properties. In many instances, insurance companies, driven by cost containment, tend to undervalue and underpay legitimate claims. It was this systemic issue that prompted me to establish a business dedicated to championing the rights of homeowners in their interactions with insurance giants.
The genesis of this endeavor can be traced back to my extensive decade-long tenure within prominent insurance organizations. During this period, I became increasingly disheartened by the approaches employed in client interactions. However, the watershed moment occurred in 2019 when I confronted a substantial flood event impacting a recently acquired rental property. The initial settlement offered by my insurance provider amounted to a mere $7,500.00, which was grossly insufficient to cover the extensive repairs required. After protracted negotiations and arduous advocacy, we ultimately reached a more equitable settlement of approximately $130,000.00.
It was during this challenging experience that a profound realization emerged – if I possessed the acumen and resolve to navigate this complex terrain successfully for myself, there was a compelling imperative to extend such expertise and representation to the broader public.
